Our Story
Welcome to Live Oak Labradoodles! We are an In-Home Breeder of multi-generational authentic Australian Labradoodles. This is the face that started it all. Can you blame me for falling in love? After losing both of our beautiful yellow labs that we had for 13 and 14 years, we needed a new dog. We loved our labs but did not want to deal with lab hair everywhere anymore. I had seen many labradoodles and goldendoodles around town and the thought of having a lab without the shedding was wonderful. As I began to research the doodle breeds I quickly realized the inconsistency in coats of the adult dogs.
One thing my friends all know about me is that I will research something to death. After some time I found exactly what I was looking for in an Australian Labradoodle, a breed that consistently produced dogs with minimal shedding coats. Anita and Terry Main of Austin Labradoodles allowed us to be a guardian family to our amazing girl Austin’s Summer Grace, aka Purdy. So here we are many years later, excited to begin our own journey in the breeding community!
Our goal is to produce healthy, well-balanced, and happy puppies with wonderful temperaments. All of our breeding dogs will have to pass extensive health testing prior to breeding. By raising the puppies in our home they will be exposed to all the sights, sounds, and smells of daily life. Happy dogs happen when their needs are met with love, care, and play.
